What an incredible weekend!!
We visited the creation museum on Friday and the ark on Saturday. Both were astounding experiences that are difficult to sum up in words.
The kids loved the new adventures. It was wonderful getting out of town as a family and having Nana with us. ♥️

My goodness this kid amazes me.
He gives 100% and made the all star team second year in a row.
There was no tournament but the boys were still honored for their hard work.

When Blake and I met these people 8 years ago, little did we know how much they'd bless us with their friendship through thick n thin.

Good night my sweet Yana Renee.
Tomorrow you celebrate your second year of life.
But tonight I say goodbye to the baby years. Of yours and your siblings. They went by so fast. I know I'll miss them. I think I already do.
I'm so grateful that you came along and gave me one more shot to carry, birth, and nurture through those first two years.
What a gift!

It's difficult to sum up the past week. . We took

It's difficult to sum up the past week. .
We took our first family vacation ever (meaning we didn't go to visit family or stay with family). .
Our awesome friend/sitter @maddiykaylee came with us to help with the kids. .
We got a stunning Airbnb at 9,300 ft elevation. We hiked many trails, walked over the royal gorge, and drove to the top of Pike's Peak. .
Blake visited Colorado in 1998. I was there in 2002. We both wanted to one day take our kids there. It was seriously amazing. .
I've always ♥️'ed the mountains. I feel so small (but not insignificant) and yet grateful to be there in that enormous space, somehow protected by their grandeur and strength. .
We drove more than 2,200 miles there and back. The kids are super road warriors. .
These are just a few of my favorites from an epic trip. ♥️ I hope one day you get to go to the mountains.
